Biography: Dr. Neda Sharif- Naeini D.D.S, is a graduate of the University of Esfahan, Faculty of Dentistry. She has worked in dental field for more than 16 years.
She is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Canadian Dental Association and Ontario Dental Association. She is proud to serve all aspect of dentistry to her patients. She enjoys working with variety age and as she really likes children and is known for their family as likeable family dentist. Dr. Neda, a skilled and highly trained dentist, is committed to creating and helping to maintain healthy smile for her patients.
Hobbies: In her free time, she likes to spend time with her lovely family and friends, reading historical books to improve her general knowledge and cooking different food from different countries. The most noticeable thing about Dr. Neda is she does what she really likes.

Biography: Dr. Shylene Dutt is the eldest of three daughters and was born and raised in Brampton, Ontario. Prior to starting her dental career, she attended Chinguacousy Secondary School and graduated with an honors degree in Biology from the University of Western Ontario. After achieving her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (2015) and completing a General Practice Residency at the Hennepin County Medical Centre, Dr. Dutt returned back home and has been practicing dentistry at Sterling Dental since.
Dr. Dutt is an active member of several dental organizations, including the Ontario Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, just to name a few. She devotes may days to continuing education seminars and study clubs, to provide the best treatment to her patients and to keep up to date with the latest technology and innovations within dentistry. She has a keen interest in esthetic dentistry and loves giving her patient’s a smile that they are happy and proud of. After completing a mini-residency from the University of Toronto.
Specializations: Endodontics, Extractions, Fillings, Prosthodontics (Crowns and Bridges), Periodontics and Dental Implants.
Hobbies: In her spare time, Dr. Dutt loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys listening to music, going to the gym and reading.
Biography: Dr. Dawn Lakshman attained her BSc at the University of Toronto and completed her Dental degree at the University of Manitoba in 2012.
She was born in Trinidad and lived in Barbados for 5 years before moving to Canada at the age of 11.
Dr. Lakshman enjoys all aspects of dentistry, from cosmetic dental procedures, simple fillings, root canals, extractions, crown and bridges and currently training to place dental implants. She is also licensed to perform nitrous sedation. Her favourite part of dentistry is working with children.
Hobbies: When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 7 year old boy and 2 chihuahuas. She loves reading, making and trying foods of different cultures and travelling.
Biography: Dr. Firouzeh Zolfagharirad has been practicing as a general dentist for more than 25 years and has been with Sterling since November 2021. She is highly experienced in all aspects of general dentistry and has always tried to educate her patients about their treatment plans and their options while making them stress free and confident about their treatment. Being is dental field for many years has made Dr. Firouzeh very patient and improved her ability to handle hard cases calmly.
Furthermore, Dr. Firouzeh always tries to update her knowledge by attending various courses and seminars to provide her patients with the best level of treatment. She has been living in Toronto with her family for almost 8 years and as she shares her passion and love for dentistry with her family, both her children decided to follow the same path and are in dental school in North America.
Hobbies: In her leisure time, Dr. Firouzeh enjoys swimming, hiking and hanging out with her friends and family and also attending charity events.
Biography: Dr. Faizan Ahmed is a new friendly face that has joined our team of dentists at Sterling Dental. Dr. Faizan Ahmed has been practicing as a General Dentist in Ontario since 2016. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Dow University of Health Sciences, Pakistan in 2013 and after arriving in Canada, completed his equivalency and licensing procedure from National Dental Examination Board of Canada in 2015. Dr. Ahmed’s approach to dentistry is based on individualized and compassionate care. He believes that a healthy mouth is an integral part of a healthy body. Dr. Ahmed is experienced in various fields of dentistry, including restorative, endodontics, oral surgery, dentistry for kids and much more.
Hobbies: In addition to practising dentistry, Dr. Ahmed loves to spend time with his family. He is also passionate about sports such as badminton, swimming and archery.
Biography: Dr. Mariam started working in Sterling Dental since 2019. She enjoys meeting new people and establishing good rapport with everyone here at the clinic. Dr. Mariam has been practicing dentistry for over 14 years and been working in GTA since 2015. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and provides preventative and restorative works for both adult and children. Dr. Mariam is certified with mild sedation and provides root canal treatment, cosmetics, and wisdom teeth extractions. Making patients comfortable is her goal. Her philosophy in dentistry is that each patient has their needs and customize their treatment accordingly. Dr. Mariam is always thriving to update her knowledge in dentistry through continuing education. Recently she got membership in Phelan dental seminars in veneers, bonded dentistry, and socket preservation.
Hobbies: When she is not at work, Dr. Mariam enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and working out.
Biography: Dr. Pahal was born and raised in Burlington, Ontario. She graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours. She continued her studies at The University of Melbourne to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2019.
Fostering a deep desire to help others, she provided medical care and outreach programs in underprivileged communities in Nepal and Costa Rica throughout her academics. At McMaster University she was a Student Success Leader and the President of McMaster's Pre-Dental Club.
Dr. Pahal is passionate about the latest advancements in Dentistry and takes pride in providing excellent care for patients. She continually takes advanced courses and attends study clubs and seminars to provide the best care and treatment outcomes for her patients. She enjoys all aspects of Dentistry from root canals, crown and bridges, Invisalign, aesthetics and surgery. She has extensive experience in Oral Surgery with sedation and PRF including impacted wisdom teeth and implants. Her goal is to ensure each patient feels comfortable and well-cared for, emphasizing her dedication to delivering exceptional care. She is a proud member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons, Ontario Dental Association, and the Canadian Dental Association.
Hobbies: Outside of the clinic she enjoys reading, staying active by working out and travelling with her husband; soaking in the different cuisines, learning about the cultures and different lifestyles around the world.
Biography: Anas Al Halabi was born and raised in Syria until the age of 18. His dental journey started when he moved to Russia and graduated from the faculty of Dentistry at the Saint Petersburg State First Medical University, where he was practicing as a GP Dentist under training Maxillofacial Surgery Emergency Department. Anas moved to Canada and specifically Toronto in 2009 to complete his Denturist studies and was first licensed to practice as a Denturist in 2013. In 2016, Anas was elected to sit on the Board of Directors for the Denturist Association Of Ontario moving the profession forward and caring the most about his patients.
Currently, Anas occupies the position of the 1st Vice - President of the Denturist Association Of Ontario. Throughout the years, Anas was able to upgrade his knowledge and skills using top technology available on the market to provide not only basic services but also top quality to our patients. His workflow offers the following: 1. Removable and/or semi-removable prosthesis ( Dentures) 2. Temporarily/permanent flippers Essix retainers and Flippers for natural look and function after extractions. 3. Implant Supported Dentures - All types 4. Sport/Night guards 5. Hobbies: In his free time, Anas enjoys working out, playing tennis and socializing with people.
